Why Now, Why Us

The Story of Green Warrior

Green Warrior began as a crazy lockdown idea. In 2020, the world stopped and South Africans saw just how fragile our supply chains really were. When the formal systems stalled, we became a network of connection, neighbors supporting each other, communities finding ways to keep going.

In that same year, I was searching for alternative ways to respond. I had been following Rebel Wisdom, a group exploring the meta-crisis and bringing together some of the brightest minds of our time to talk about sense-making in turbulent times. They drew not only on science but also on indigenous wisdom. Alongside them were many others , communities like SAND (Science and Non-Duality) ,sharing knowledge and insights about how we might live in relationship.

From these voices I began shaping my own vision for South Africa ,for our people, and for our land. That’s where Green Warrior was born: a vision of a country where communities grow stronger by supporting each other, where nature is at the center, and where we act today as wise ancestors for future generations.

Green Warrior is not a company , it is a journey and an experiment. No one knows exactly what the future requires, but we can begin by weaving the dream together. Every dream begins with the first stitch. For us, that stitch is reducing the damage of everyday living. We start at home: with what we put on our clothes, what runs down our drains, what ends up in our rivers and soils.

Modern cleaning products are designed to be marketable, not sustainable. They are filled with VOCs and chemicals that harm more than they help.

Eco-friendly alternatives exist ,but in this economy, they can feel like a luxury. That’s where community comes in. By pooling resources, we make what seems unaffordable, affordable. By cutting out the long supply chain, we cut out the markup.

I have personally used OptimusBio’s products since 2020, testing them at home, on my clothes, and in my own systems. I only work with suppliers I know and trust. Green Warrior is run as an experiment — a Game B experiment — through my Project Coaching company. Together with volunteers, we are building a supply chain designed not for profit, but for resilience.

Right now, we can access 30% off retail prices on OptimusBio products, with even greater savings when buying concentrates. We act as our own distribution and refilling station. There is no profit. The goal is to reach critical mass, enough community buying power to sustain the model.

This is, at its core, a hypothesis:
That together we can create the change future generations will be glad we tried for.
And even if we fail, we will have achieved something: we will have experimented, resisted, and acted, instead of standing by.

Green Warrior is about proving that resilience is possible, that community matters, and that the future is not something we wait for. It’s something we build.
